Description: This image is one of a series I took at this unbelievable area in the Northwest part of Spain, called the Playa de las Catedrales, or the Beach of the Cathedrals. It is called so because of the beautiful, enormous natural arches that have been carved from the cliffs leading to the beach. This image shows the cliffs framing the beach and the sky that I was lucky enough to have the day I photographed it. I was there with my daughter, Heather, who also loves the beauty in nature and was photographing the arches with me. Heather found this beach and when I visited her in Spain (from my home in Southern California) we went to photograph it. This image works for me because of the depth the near cliffs and far-clouds and sky give the view. |
