This image of trees was taken in the Hoge Veluwe, or High Valley, a national park in Holland. i wanted the patterns of the tree branches to be the subject of the image. The blank sky in the background adds to the contrast of the tree barks and branches. A cloudy sky would only break up the patterns made by the branches.
