Description: Using a slow shutter speed while photographing moving foam is always an interesting effect, but one never knows if it will work until you see the image. The smooth silvery finish of the water, with the abstraction of the white squiggly lines makes the image work for me. I like when a photograph shows more than what actually met the eye when it was taken, because then the photographer can communicate more to the viewer than just "this is what was there". There is also a good sense of depth in this image, coming from the flow of the foam leading into the image and the background trees and rocks. |
