Description: I photographed this scene of Happy Isles in the Spring, with the Dogwood blooming and the water flowing quickly over the rocks, and the new leaves lit up by the sun providing a perfect background. Happy Isles is a wonderful area in Yosemite with several small islands to walk on to with the water flowing on all sides down from the snow covered mountains above. Unfortunately, there was a major rock slide recently that downed many trees into the river surrounding the isles. But that is nature, and we have to take the "good" with the "bad" as far as photographing or just looking at the natural scene. |
