Description: This image was made along the path leading to the cottages that are next to the Ahwannee Hotel in Yosemite Valley. The bark and leaves had good contrast, as it was Spring and the leaves were a very light green, and the new bark was also brightly patterned. The pattern in the Birch tree bark complements the pattern of the leaves. The wind was blowing that day, and it was difficult to get the leaves to stay still long enough to photograph. |
