Description: I was photographing this meadow during a summer thunderstorm when the clouds split for a few minutes and the sun shone through. The foreground was in the shade when I took the photograph, and it is rather difficult to print the detail in the bushes surrounding the stream. I remember this image well, because a few minutes after I took the photograph a lightning bolt hit about 50 feet from where I was standing, and made a groove in the ground 6 inches deep! |
